Analysis of VOCs from Car Interior Parts, Packaging Materials and Architectural materials



The revision of Building Standards Act was enforced at July 1st, 2003. The usage of formaldehyde for interior finish of architectural materials is regulated by its diffusion rate. In February 2005, Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers announced that new-model cars from 2007 would meet the guidelines of concentration of 13 designated chemical substances and that automobile manufacturers would deal with the reduction of these substances in cooperation with parts and materials manufacturers.

ANAC can measure VOCs specified by each of automakers.

●Guidelines of the indoor concentration of the following substances were designed by Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
